        PAR20/PAR30/PAR38 Led Light

        1. What is PAR light / PAR lamp?

        PAR light/lamp means a parabolic aluminized reflector light or lamp, which is a type of sealed beam electric lamp with reflector & lens integerated. It’s usually followed by a number indicating the diameter of the lamp in eighths of one inch. For example, PAR16 means a 2 inch lamp (or approximately 50mm) , PAR30 means 3.75 inch lamp (or 95mm), and PAR38 means 4.75 inch lamp (or 120mm). Similar designations are listed in below table.

        PAR light usually comes with a edision-screw base, such as E26 in North America, or E27 in Europe.

        2. Where is PAR light/lamp used?

        PAR light/lamp is used in a wide variety of applications as commercial and residential lighting, such as shop display lights, picture lights, theater lights, stage lights...etc. It's also used as transportation illuminating lights, such as automobile headlights, aircraft landing runways,  locomotive headlamps. In retailing industry, most common are PAR30/PAR38 lights. As architectual lighting or stage lighting, most common are PAR56/PAR64 lights.

        3. What is the beam angle of the PAR light/lamp?

        PAR light/lamp can achieve a wide range of beam angles, from narrow spot, medium flood to wide flood, depending on the parabolic reflector geometry and placement of the filament, or the lens (especially Led PAR light ). The varieties of beam angles are then fit for different application needs.

        4.  Why to replace halogen or CFL PAR lights with Led PAR lights?

        You could gain many benefits to replace halogen or CFL PAR light with Led PAR light, including, but not limited to,

            • Money saving.  Led PAR lamp boasts 75% energy savings and lasts 30 times longer than traditional halogen PAR  lamp, while delivering same luminous level as halogen PAR lamp does. Plus the truth that PAR light is widely used in retailing shops or theatres/stages, where a big number of lights are working, some even work for many hours everyday, using Led PAR lamps instead means tremendous savings on electricity bill, and replacement or maintenance costs. Our 14W Led PAR30 lamp, as direct replacement, is equivalent to 75W halogen lamp. And, our 18W Led PAR38 lamp, is equivalent to 100W halogen lamp. Moreover, our Led PAR30 14W lamp, and Led PAR38 18W lamp have IP65 rating, so they are suitable for some humid or semi-outdoor/outdoor conditions. 
            • Energy saving & Protecting the environment.  Consuming less power means reducing carbon emissions, it’s good for environment protection. Morover, unlike CFL lamp, our Led PAR light does not contain any toxic material, which is harmful to our earth.
            • Safer handling & easy usage.  You need not worry any more on toxic materials, and fragile glass/quartz during handling.  With same bases like halogen PAR lamp, the replacement is very easy.

        Though the initial cost of installing Led PAR light/lamp is high, it’s still worthwile to do it. And, eventually you could enjoy a fast ROI, Return Of Investment, due to the big savings on electricity bill & replacement cost.

        5. How to replace halogen or CFL PAR lamps with Led PAR lamps?

        Our Led PAR light/lamp has standard E26 base (for North American market), or E27 base(European market), and directly works with the mains voltage (120V AC or 240V AC). So, what we you need do is just to take off the traditonal halogen or CFL PAR lamp, and install a Led PAR lamp instead.
